The Walking Dead World Beyond– created as a limited series, World Beyondaired its first episode on Oct. Part 2 will release later this year, and early in the season, the story will experience a seven-year time jump. Part one will premiere on AMC+ on May 11 and AMC on May 14 at 9 p.m. It was recently announced that season 8 of Fear the Walking Dead would be the last. Showrunners have promised a series reinvention, and the mysterious PADRE will be a focus. Fans have been disappointed with the seventh season, but season 8 eight has promise as fan-favorite Madison Clark returned during the season 7 finale. The series’ tone has altered vastly over the seven seasons keeping the story fresh and exciting. Fear TWD started at the onset of the outbreak and followed the blended family of Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Madison (Kim Dickens) as they learned to live in a world with the undead. This is due to the filming location change from Austin, Texas, to Savanah, Georgia. This story began in Los Angeles and, over time, has traveled to Mexico and Texas, and now the series will see another location change. The Walking Dead spinoffs – complete listįear the Walking Dead– the first spinoff series began airing on Aug. Those new stories will be told in the form of spinoff series. The story ended by tying up several characters’ stories while leaving others open for new chapters. 20, 2022, and was an episode that gave the long running series a satisfactory ending. The Walking Dead aired its series finale episode on Nov. This announcement was a welcome surprise announcement to the fandom. But at Comic-Con 2022, it was announced that a spinoff series featuring the return of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) would soon be in production. Many fans were disappointed that so much emphasis was placed on the spinoffs instead of concentrating on the trilogy of movies promised years ago. Plus, Eugene is hilarious, and The Walking Dead can always use a little comedic relief.Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images) From a mulleted coward hiding behind his intelligence so that others protect him to the Alexandrian leading his people to the Commonwealth, Eugene is central to the plot of the final season, and I think that means he’s safe. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt)Įugene has become an unlikely protagonist going into season 11. It’s difficult to predict where her story goes at this point, but since she survived her comic book death, I assume the show’s writers have something in mind for her in season 11. In the comics, Rosita’s head ended up on a pike during the Whisperer war, but her TV counterpart has persevered. He’s lost the man he loves, his arm, and many friends - and it’s all hardened him into a war machine. But here he is, still fighting and surviving. She could be headed toward tragedy.Īaron seemed destined to die seasons ago, too kind and trusting to survive this long. While a reunion with Yumiko seems like the logical direction for her story, The Walking Dead universe is a cruel one. Magna was sidelined pretty quickly after her introduction. I think Lydia is in it for the long haul. That said, the writers have continued to find interesting ways to explore this character, and someone has to live on to lead the next generation of Alexandrians and Hilltoppers. With Alpha and Beta defeated, and their faction all but obliterated, I have to wonder what Lydia has left to do on the show. Lydia was at the center of Alexandria’s conflict with the Whisperers for a season and a half. While this likely will put her life in danger, she’s already escaped death once, so we’re not betting against her. Now she’s a journalist at the Commonwealth, working to uncover the deep corruption at the very center of Pamela Milton’s government. Although he’s disappeared, it’s possible we’ll see him again, possibly for one last sacrifice.Ĭonnie has a new lease on life after surviving the events of season 10. He soon went on a journey to atone for his sins, helping a disoriented Connie make it back home. You don’t just introduce a blade expert in a steel mask for no reason! Virgil (Kevin Carroll)Īfter debuting as somewhat of a villain, Virgil was spared by Michonne. When he returned in the final six episodes of season 10, the show just kind of moved on without fleshing him out, which is unfortunate since he looks so cool! I’m going to assume that the series is saving a big Elijah-focused episode for later in the season and that he’s too awesome to kill off. For weeks after his reveal, people wondered who the man in the steal mask could be. Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari)Įlijah made his debut in one of the most WTF moments of season 10 when he rescued Aaron and Alden from the Whisperers. Since she’s only just arrived and has a big part to play in the Commonwealth arc, we’d like her to survive until the end. One big twist later, we’ve finally met the actual Stephanie.
